OUR LADY OF MERCY SISTERS' VISIT - October 2022
In late October 2022, Sisters Donata and Confida of the Congregation of Our Lady of Mercy, St. Faustina’s congregation, spent six wonderful days visiting the Diocese of Colorado Springs. While they were here, they spent time with hundreds of people sharing the message of – and giving special witness to – Jesus’ Divine Mercy. Their time in the diocese included offering an inspiring presentation at St. Francis of Assisi, conducting a well-attended day-long retreat at St. Gabriel, and discussing Christ’s great love with students at Divine Redeemer, Corpus Christi, St. Mark’s, and the Chesterton Academy.
As good as it was to introduce the Sisters to Catholics from around the diocese, their most important meeting was with Bishop Golka. We explained that our three-fold Divine Mercy of the Rockies plan is: “The Sisters, the Shrine, the Message to Mankind.” The Bishop supports the intent of the ministry, including our hope to ultimately establish a Shrine and Education/Retreat Center as a pilgrimage site and resource for the American West.
